Trusting in GOD May Require Taking Risks, but it Conquers the Unknown

Sometimes, we don’t carry out our plans and realize our dreams because fear paralyzes us and makes us not take risks. Most people avoid any path that would require them to take risks. Usually, we avoid taking risks because want to feel comfortable and be a hundred percent sure that everything would go according to our own “logical” plans.

But things don’t always work according to “logical” plans, even when we feel comfortable and are a hundred percent sure that they would work out as planned. This is one of the main reasons why we need to always trust in GOD or have faith in His power which created and controls everything that is visible and invisible.

Trusting or having faith in GOD may sometimes require us to take risks because we aren’t always able to see as far and wide as GOD sees; nevertheless, trusting in GOD or having faith in Him is a positive step that surely brings great results at the end of the day.

Most people are scared of taking a leap of faith and trusting in GOD, but trusting in GOD conquers the unknown

It’s unfortunate that for various reasons most people are scared of putting their trust in GOD. And although it is true that from a human perspective, having faith in GOD sometimes involves a certain degree of risk, it is equally true that trusting in GOD’s plan and timing is a wise decision that can help us conquer the unknown.

Any risk associated with having faith or trusting in GOD is not a risk; it is an added advantage

History and faith both inform us that GOD works wonders and uses risks, challenges, and problems to achieve great results. Therefore, even if you are facing a situation that compels you to take a “safe” route, remember that it is only GOD Who can give a 100% guarantee that a safe route is not risky; He is the only one Who can guarantee that a safe route is actually safe and will lead to the desired destination.

Trusting in GOD requires that we live according to His laws

We must abide by GOD’s laws all the time, not only when we are trusting in Him for something. And we must live a righteous lifestyle according to GOD’s expectations, not according to the world’s expectations which are almost always different from GOD’s expectations.

It is understandable that because we are human, we are imperfect and will likely make mistakes, whether we take risks or not; however, living a righteous life will guard us against permanent failure. Proverbs 24: 16 (The Christian Bible) states: “For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity”.

Therefore, regardless of whether the righteous take risks or don’t take risks, their trust in GOD will always attract His guidance and ensure that they are taken up from the ground, no matter how many times they fall.

On the other hand, although it the unrighteous may continue getting what they want for long stretches of time, they will eventually be brought down by calamity because GOD’s laws will catch up with them at the end of the day.

Don’t be afraid of taking risks and making mistakes; our missteps and failures are temporary

Trust in GOD and always remember that whenever you fall down, GOD will always raise you up. Therefore don’t be afraid of taking risks and making mistakes; always put your trust in GOD and His timing which is always on time.

Be ready to take risks when certain opportunities come, and never ever forget that your faith or trust in GOD is a step that will enable you to conquer the unknown. Trusting in GOD can turn an unfavorable today into an advantageous tomorrow, and turn an awful today into a happy tomorrow.

Trust in GOD by fixing your eyes on what is unseen, not on what is seen

Hebrews 11: 1 (The Christian Bible) states: “…without faith it is impossible to please GOD; for anyone who comes to GOD must believe that He exists…”; and 2nd Corinthians 4: 18 (The Christian Bible) states: “…look not on the things that are seen, but on the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are unseen are eternal”.

These two scriptures encourage us to have faith or put our trust in GOD, not in man and material things which are temporal; the second scripture encourages us to believe that the desires and things we cannot see now, are permanently there for us and can be achieved in the future.

The GOD Whom we trust is invisible and almighty and all the seen and unseen things are in His hands. Therefore put your full trust in Him and do what is in your power to do, whether it involves taking risks or not taking risks; thereafter, leave your best efforts in GOD’s hands and let Him dictate the outcome.
